DETROIT – Both sides of the Southfield Freeway are closed at Plymouth in Detroit because of a water main break.
The Detroit Water and Sewage Department said they were notified Monday (Jan. 15) of a vehicle knocking over a fire hydrant, causing flooding on the Southfield Freeway Service Drive at Plymouth Road.
Officials say water is spilling onto the freeway.
A DSWD employee is said to be turning off the water to the hydrant, but homes in the area will not be impacted.
