A man from out of state flew into Michigan and tried to enroll in high school so he could have a relationship with one of the students, officials said.
Kevin Flick, 21, of Tennessee, is accused of lying about his identity to staff members at the Mason County Central School District on the state’s west side, according to a report from Up North Live .
Flick flew into Grand Rapids , went to the school, and claimed he was 17 years old, officials said. Investigators later discovered he is 21.
School officials knew Flick was lying when he told them he had flown to Grand Rapids but then claimed he didn’t have an ID.
Flick wanted to enroll at the school to pursue a relationship with an underage student he’d met online, police said.
He was arrested for child sexually abusive material and lying to police.
