Macomb County woman accused of stabbing her cousin charged with attempted murder

HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 34-year-old woman in Macomb County is facing several charges after reportedly stabbing her roommate in the chest.

According to authorities, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Prentiss Pointe Apartments in Harrison Township just after 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, on reports of a domestic violence incident. On the scene, they found a 36-year-old woman who had collapsed on the kitchen floor holding a cloth against her chest. She was rushed to a hospital and is expected to survive.

The suspect, identified as Sabrina Finnemore, remained at the scene. Authorities said she admitted to getting into an argument with her cousin/roommate and grabbing a knife, but did not have memories of what happened after. She was taken into custody without incident.

Finnemore was arraigned Friday, March 8, on charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence and abuse.

She received a $100,000 cash/surety bond.
