A woman has been found dead in a wooded area in Monroe County.
Officials say the woman was found on Wednesday (March 13) alongside the quarry near 15455 South Dixie Highway.

Deputy Doug Moore, along with the Monroe Township Fire Department and Monroe Community Ambulance, responded to the area where they located the deceased, middle-aged Caucasian woman.
Officials say there was no obvious sign of trauma. The identity of the woman has not been confirmed. However, detectives said they are following up on leads from the scene to identify her.
