MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 36-year-old man from Warren is facing new charges after he reportedly attempted to set up the murder of a woman’s husband from a Macomb County Jail phone.

According to authorities, Aaron Muterspaw was incarcerated for a drunk driving case and communicating with Carmen Marchetti over the jail phone. She reportedly asked Muterspaw to have her then-husband killed and he allegedly said he could facilitate the murder.

The conversations were discovered when the former husband’s attorney made a FOIA request for Muterspaw’s phone recordings.

Marchetti, a 35-year-old from Chesterfield, was charged with homicide -- solicitation of murder, conspiracy to commit homicide -- solicitation of murder and malicious use of a telecommunication service. She was issued a $100,000 personal bond. If convicted, Marchetti faces the possibility of life in prison.

Muterspaw was charged with conspiracy to commit homicide -- solicitation of murder and malicious use of a telecommunication service. He was given a $500,000 cash/surety/10% bond and remains held at the Macomb County Jail.
