Detroit police want help ID’ing carjacking suspect armed with long gun

DETROIT – Police are asking for anyone with information about a suspect involved in a carjacking in Detroit to come forward.

Detroit police said a man armed with a long gun carjacked a woman at 4:50 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, in the 20000 block of W 7 Mile Road.

The woman was walking back to her car in the parking lot of a gas station when the man demanded the keys to her white 2013 Chevy Cruze. He got into her vehicle and drove away.

The man is described as being 5′7′' to 5′8′' tall with afro-style hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, ripped blue Jeans, and black shoes.

Nobody was injured.
