MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A Clinton Township man pleaded guilty on Thursday in connection with a Metro Detroit human trafficking ring.
Jon Villasurda Sr. was one of the several people arrested in what Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel called one of the largest international human trafficking rings uncovered in the state in December 2024.

Two others charged, Huazi Piao and Jingyu Jin, recently pleaded to one count of conducting a criminal enterprise for their role in the human trafficking ring.
Piao was sentenced in October 2025, and Jin is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 3.
“Transporting vulnerable individuals to be trafficked is a heinous crime, and I applaud the prosecutors in my office for securing this conviction,” Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a statement. “This enterprise, one of the largest human trafficking rings ever uncovered in our state, profited from the forced commercial sex servitude of victims right here in our communities, moving them through illicit parlors, airports, casinos, and residences. Together with our law enforcement partners, we have liberated numerous women, and we remain committed to pursuing traffickers and supporting survivors.”
On July 30, Villasurda pleaded guilty to one count of transporting a person for prostitution. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 10.
