Michigan’s largest used book sale kicks off in Livonia

Bookstock celebrates 20th sale

LIVONIA, Mich. – The annual Bookstock event kicked off in Livonia on Sunday, April 7.

It is Metro Detroit’s biggest used book and media sale. The sale is taking place at Laurel Park Place at 6 Mile and Newburgh roads in Livonia, Michigan.

Hundreds of thousands of gently-used books in every genre from mystery to children’s books to cookbooks will be available, some priced as low as $1. Proceeds benefit local literacy and education projects, and the organization has raised more than $2 million over the past twenty years.

This is Bookstock’s 20th sale. In honor of that milestone, anyone who brings a Bookstock bag from any previous year gets 20% off an entire purchase.

The event runs from April 7 through April 14. It is open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is open on Sundays from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
