DETROIT – A man was taken into custody on the roof of a home on Detroit’s west side after a brief standoff with police Wednesday, April 10.
It happened at a home located near the intersection of Margareta and Cooley streets. According to authorities, Detroit police were called to the scene at about 8:30 a.m. on reports of a man with a gun.

Police said the man was taken into custody after a short standoff and has been taken to a hospital for evaluation.
The investigation is ongoing.
