Livonia police identified Miles Lindsey months ago, but only after Local 4 spent Wednesday (May 22) digging through court filings to get the details.

Prosecutors say Lindsey was on camera accosting one woman, then walking to another store and doing it again.

People rarely think about their safety once they’re inside a store like Meijer, Target, and Walmart to do some shopping.

Those shopping locations are where Lindsey finds a woman in an aisle, drops his pants, and performs sex acts in front of them.

Officials say the victims are in their early 20s and early 30s.

The only reason we’re hearing about this situation now is because court documents were pulled on Wednesday (May 22), which read that three incidents of those sex acts happened in late November and early December of 2023.

Lindsey was convicted of the same thing in 2018 when a judge gave him two years probation.

His photo was still up in the Livonia Police Department, we are told

In the 2018 case, the officer recognized him from the video of the more recent cases, and warrants for Lindsey were issued.

But Lindsey has been out all of this time until his arrest just a few days ago.

Lindsey is due in court again on Thursday (May 23). He is being charged with indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person and aggravated indecent exposure.

Local 4 asked Livonia police for details on why he was only picked up recently but received no response.
