Officials say they located Etheridge lying on the sidewalk in front of his home, dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The non-fatal victims were privately transported to a Metro Detroit hospital for treatment.

Allegedly, the shooting ensued due to a verbal altercation between Carter and multiple people when the 47-year-old man pulled out his gun and shot multiple times.

Carter has been charged with second-degree murder, four counts of assault with intent to murder, and five counts of felony firearm.

The 47-year-old man was sent to jail on May 22 in the 36th District Court. His probable cause conference is scheduled for May 29 at 8:30 a.m. and the preliminary examination is scheduled for June 4 at 8:45 a.m.
