3-year-old girl hit by car in Hamtramck dies despite medical efforts Hamtramck Police Department is actively investigating the incident
HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – A 3-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a car in Hamtramck.
The incident occurred on Tuesday (July 16) at 3:06 p.m.
Hamtramck officers said they found the child with her mother breathing, but she was not responsive.
Officials say they performed preliminary medical attention until EMS arrived and transported the 3-year-old girl to Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
While in transit, officials say the 3-year-old girl stopped breathing and became unresponsive.
After all life-saving measures were exhausted, officials pronounced the 3-year-old girl dead.
The Hamtramck Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
