DEARBORN, Mich. – Dearborn police say they have arrested a third and final suspect in connection with the deadly shooting at Fairlane Town Center on July 3.
Police said members of the Dearborn Police Department SWAT Team executed a search warrant late Friday afternoon at a home in Inkster connected to the incident. Authorities said the third suspect was taken into custody safely and without incident just before the warrant was served.

Chief Issa Shahin said, “Our investigators and officers have worked tirelessly over the past 24 hours to identify, locate, and arrest those responsible for this senseless act of violence. I commend the outstanding work of our Detectives, SWAT Team, Patrol Officers, and our regional law enforcement partners for their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to protecting our community.”
Officers responding to reports of gunfire found three people who had been shot, police said. One person died at the scene, and a second victim died after being taken to a Metro Detroit hospital.
A third person suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The victims ranged in age from their late teens to early 20s, according to police.
Police said the shooting stemmed from a dispute between two groups that escalated into gunfire.

The investigation remains active. Police said additional information will be released as it becomes available.
