Popular Metro Detroit butcher shop closes after 95 years

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – Agemy & Sons Market in the downriver community of Allen Park closes its doors for good.
Agemy & Sons opened in 1959 when the Agemy family bought what was then Boutz Market. It sits on the corner of Rosedale Blvd. and Champaign Rd.
On Saturday, the family-owned grocer and butcher shop posted on Facebook that “Agemy’s was Sold!!” The post goes on to say that Agemy’s was the last existing butcher shop that still broke down cattle in the downriver area.
