Shelter-in-Place alert lifted in Roseville following large building fire Major roads remain closed
ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A Shelter-in-Place alert in Roseville due to a large building fire has been lifted.
Macomb County said air quality testing showed it was no longer necessary for people to shelter in place.
The Roseville Fire Department initially said residents within 1/2 mile of the fire are urged to remain indoors and close all windows and doors due to the risk of chemicals in the smoke plume.
The fire started Tuesday, April 22, at a building on 12 Mile Road, between Hayes Road and Groesbeck Highway.
Multiple roads in the area remain closed.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire or whether anyone has been injured.
