PONTIAC, Mich. – A man was killed in a minibike crash in Pontiac on Saturday, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, near North Cass and Cesar E. Chavez avenues.

A 46-year-old White Lake Township man allegedly left the roadway, struck a utility pole and was thrown off the minibike, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Authorities say he wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Witnesses told deputies that the man and six other people on minibikes had been weaving in and out of traffic. The victim’s minibike also wasn’t legal to be driven on the road, according to authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
