WB I-696 reopen following semi rollover in Macomb County There was no word on injuries or the cause of the semi’s wreck
MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – Westbound I-696 has reopened after a loaded semi‑truck hauling steel coils rolled over near Mound Road in Macomb County.
The mess, which occurred on Thursday (June 19) , forced the highway to shut down entirely for hours, causing significant delays for commuters.
As traffic piled up, a second crash unfolded at the Van Dyke Avenue entrance ramp, blocking additional lanes.
There was no word on injuries or the cause of the semi’s wreck.
