TROY, Mich – A popular restaurant in Midtown is set to bring its coffee, baked goods and café experience to Troy.
Operated by Jeremy Sasson’s Heirloom Hospitality group, which also owns the Mad Nice restaurant and other eateries in the Detroit area, Mad Nice Coffee plans to launch this fall on the second floor near the skywalk at Somerset Collection South.
The café will open every day 30 minutes before the mall’s official opening hours. Customers can expect to find a variety of coffee blends, hand-rolled bagels, seasonal pastries, soups, salads, and convenient grab-and-go items.
Mad Nice Coffee will offer:
- Beverages that include specialty roasted espresso, coffee and tea drinks served hot, chilled and frozen along with fresh juices and bottled Italian sodas.
- Open-faced, hand-rolled sourdough bagels from a lineup that includes the Bubbe and the Heirloom, and bagel sandwiches.
- Classic egg breakfast sandwiches.
- Signature baked goods like the Mad’atozi, vanilla stracciatella cookies and chocolate dipped sourdough waffles.
- Grab-and-go salads plus seasonal soups, all crafted with an eye toward freshness and quality of ingredients.
- Mad Nice’s soft-serve vanilla bean gelato with house toppings curated weekly.
Mad Nice Coffee originated as an offshoot of Mad Nice’s upscale restaurant, evolving from the Mad Nice Goods concept that debuted soon after the restaurant opened its doors in 2023 on Second Avenue in Midtown. The restaurant itself features a fusion of modern Italian and coastal California dishes, including handmade pastas, naturally leavened breads, wood-fired pizzas, and more. Additionally, in fall 2023, Mad Nice introduced Mad Nice Goods, an interior space designed as a gathering and retail area providing morning coffee, house-baked treats like bagels and pastries, and other takeaway options.
