Child in critical condition after falling into pool on Detroit’s east side

A young boy is in critical condition Wednesday after falling into a pool on Detroit’s east side.

According to the Detroit Fire Department, a child fell into a pool in the 3900 block of French on July 16. When crews arrived at the scene, the family was performing CPR on the toddler.

The child was taken to a local hospital and is in critical condition.

Detroit police is investigating the incident.
