DETROIT – The Detroit Institute of Arts is giving a preview of a powerful exhibition showcasing talented Anishinaabe artists from the Great Lakes.
This is one of the largest showcases of contemporary Native American art in the Midwest, and the first major Native American exhibit at the DIA in 30 years.
More than 90 pieces are available for viewing — including basketry, beadwork, birchbark art, clothing, film, and graphic design.
The exhibit runs from Sunday to April 5.
