ATF offers $5K reward for info in Oakland County gas station armed robbery

Suspect threatned clerk with assault rifle

TROY, Mich. – The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $5,000 reward for information in an armed robbery at an Oakland County gas station.

According to authorities, the armed robbery happened at just before 2:30 a.m. Oct. 30, at a Shell Gas Station in Troy, near the intersection of Rochester Road and South Boulevard.

Police said the man entered the gas station with what appeared to be an AK-47, pointed it at the clerk and demanded money. After being given cash, he ran off.

“Put your hands on your head and count to a hundred,” he can be heard telling the clerk. “You move, you die.”

ATF has offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the man. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Troy Police Department at 248-524-0777.
