Michigan’s minimum wage to increase, tipped wage also set to rise in 2026 Minimum wage expected to hit $15 in 2027

LANSING, Mich. – Michigan’s minimum wage will increase on the first day of 2026.
The state’s minimum wage has been $12.48 since February 2025 . On Jan. 1, 2026, it will rise to $13.73. It is scheduled to increase again on Jan. 1, 2027, reaching $15 an hour.
Michigan’s tipped minimum wage will rise on Jan. 1 to $5.49. It is currently $4.74 an hour.
