Dry Tuesday afternoon before rain moves into Metro Detroit overnight

Southeast Michigan will see showers and possible thunderstorms overnight into Wednesday

4Warn Weather – Cloud cover will increase this afternoon as a cold front approaches. Moving across the state, this front will bring Southeast Michigan showers and possible thunderstorms overnight.

This afternoon will feature a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the low 80s to near 85°.

With a breeze out of the west-southwest, it will be a comfortable afternoon to be outdoors. Cloud cover increases into the evening, and particularly in our northernmost counties, a stray shower will be possible.

The better chance for rain arrives overnight.

A few storms are possible but nothing severe is expected. Rainfall totals look to be less than a quarter inch for most of Southeast Michigan.

Overnight temperatures will fall to the mid 60s before only reaching near 80° Wednesday afternoon.

We’ll see partly sunny skies tomorrow with isolated rain possible in the afternoon.

Thursday and Friday will be dry with more sunshine and highs in the lower 80s. The next chance of rain moves in Saturday.
