PORT HURON, Mich. – Authorities have stopped nearly 250 pounds of cocaine from entering Canada in Port Huron.

According to authorities, officers with the Canada Border Services Agency at the Blue Water Bridge seized 111 kilograms (245 pounds) of suspected cocaine on Feb. 19.

The agency said officers were inspecting a truck coming from Michigan when the suspected drugs were discovered.

Sarkaren Vir Singh, a 29-year-old from Nova Scotia, and Chamkaur Singh, a 25-year-old from Ontario, were arrested and charged with importation of cocaine and possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
