Gas prices around Michigan continue to rise heading into the summer, with the average now well above $4 per gallon.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, the statewide average reached $4.25 -- over a dollar more than the $3.16 average one year ago. Some gas stations around Metro Detroit are charging over $4.50.

So we’re wondering, what are our viewers doing to cut down on gas spending? Are you leaving the house less? Changing your driving habits?
