Man dies after police shooting in Oakland County

No troopers injured

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – A man has died after a police shooting in Waterford Township Thursday night.

The shooting happened at around 9:30 p.m. on May 14 in the area of Williams Lake and Elizabeth Lake roads.

Details in the investigation are limited, but Michigan State Police said troopers were involved in the shooting and the suspect, a 60-year-old Oakland County man, was killed.

No other injuries were reported, and police said there is no danger to the public.
