Deputies found a black Chevy Silverado on May 13 at around 6:30 p.m. on Dove Road in Port Huron Township, which had been reported stolen earlier that day. When they tried to stop the truck, Cutrubes allegedly drove off.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said after pulling into an area on 36th Street, Cutrubes ran out of the truck. Deputies ran after him through a dense wooded area, and he was eventually taken into custody with help from a drone.
Cutrubes was arraigned on May 15, and his bond was set at $25,000.
