Semi-truck lost control and struck median wall in Warren

WARREN, Mich. – Michigan State Police say a tractor trailer (semi-truck) lost control and struck the median wall on a freeway.

The crash happened on I-696 near 11 Mile Road in Warren.

Police say the crash happened on May 23 at around 2 p.m.

Authorities say the crash caused significant damage to the median wall and sent large pieces of concrete into all westbound lanes.

The semi spilled a significant amount of fuel in both directions of the freeway and into nearby drains, police say.

Police say no life-threatening injuries have been reported and no other vehicles are believed to be involved.
