Man seriously injured in Monroe Township motorcycle crash

The 34-year-old Monroe resident was not wearing a helmet and remains in critical condition.

A 34-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition following a serious crash that took place early Monday morning in Monroe Township.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, the man lost control of his 2019 Harley Davidson around 12:30 a.m. while negotiating a curve on E. Dunbar Road, and was ejected from the motorcycle after striking the curb of a private drive. The man, who was not wearing a helmet, struck a sign during the crash and had to be transported to ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, where he remains in critical condition.

Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough says alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to reach out to the Sheriff’s Office at 734-240-7541.
