Oakland County Sheriff’s Office seeks public’s help in fatal shooting of 25-year-old man

Crime Stoppers is offering a $2K reward for information leading to an arrest

PONTIAC, Mich. – Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of a fatal shooting in Pontiac.

Deputies were called around 10 p.m. Sunday (May 24) to a home on Central Avenue, near Woodward Avenue, where they found 25-year-old Brian Washington Jr. suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Washington was taken to Metro Detroit hospital, where he later died.

Investigators said Washington was found inside a bedroom.

Shell casings were discovered outside a window to that room, according to authorities.

No arrests have been announced.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
