MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A driver is in custody after a reportedly stolen U-Haul crashed in Macomb County.
The vehicle crashed at about 9 a.m., Thursday, May 28, at the intersection of Hall Road (M-59) and Garfield. Multiple vehicles were hit.
The driver was reportedly fleeing police, although the chase was terminated before the crash.
Authorities said it started in Clinton Township, where police spotted an alleged stolen U-Haul truck. The chase ventured south into Fraser and Roseville before heading back north and crashing in Macomb Township.
The U-Haul ended up on its passenger side, requiring first responders to cut the windshield of the vehicle out to extricate the driver, who was taken into custody.
She did not appear to suffer any serious injuries.
It is currently unknown if anyone else was injured.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area.
