Flooding due to severe weather has closed the northbound lanes of I-75 in Wayne County.

DETROIT – Flooding due to severe weather has closed the northbound lanes of I-75 in Wayne County.

Michigan State Police said the northbound lanes of I-75 near Clay Street were closed at approximately 10:22 p.m. on Tuesday (June 9) due to flooding on the roadway.

All northbound traffic was being diverted at the Clay Street exit as crews monitored conditions.

Officials urged motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway can be safely reopened.

Drivers were also reminded to use caution in wet weather and to never drive through flooded roadways.

No injuries or stranded vehicles were immediately reported.
