Alleged Metro Detroit serial home invader pleads guilty to multiple charges

ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Mich. – A Redford Township man accused of stealing from multiple homes across Metro Detroit has pleaded guilty to multiple charges.

According to authorities, the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office had five reported home invasions between Nov. 28 and Dec. 3 in 2025. The suspect, described as an unknown delivery driver, allegedly broke into homes while on his delivery route.

Deonte King was arrested on Dec. 6 after authorities received reports of a sixth and seventh break-in. He was reportedly found not far from the home, driving a white box truck matching the suspect vehicle.

Authorities said most of the stolen goods were identified and returned to their owners.

King was charged on Dec. 9, 2025, with one count of first-degree home invasion and five counts of second-degree home invasion.

King was previously charged in connection with a string of home invasions in 2017.

On June 15, during a plea hearing, King pleaded guilty to eight counts of second-degree home invasion.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 31 at 9:30 a.m.
