Warren firefighter accused of sending unsolicited messages to 18-year-old on Snapchat

WARREN, Mich. – A Warren firefighter is facing charges after prosecutors said he sent unsolicited and “concerning” messages to an 18-year-old.

Adam Mazur-Baker, 37, was charged with using a computer to commit a crime and malicious use of a telecommunication service. Both charges are misdemeanors.

Mazur-Baker is accused of sending unsolicited and “concerning” messages on Snapchat to an 18-year-old. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said the messages continued until the victim blocked him.

The prosecutor’s office said the result of the charges stemmed from the “totality of the circumstances and the nature of the messages.”

He was arraigned in court on June 30 and was given a $5,000 personal bond. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Mazur-Baker served as a trustee on the Warren Consolidated Schools Board of Education. He has since resigned.
