The heat we are dealing with isn’t miserable for everyone in Michigan — it’s also creating a serious problem outside.

The extremely hot temperatures mixed with dry grass are creating a fire danger in parts of Michigan.

And add in families setting off fireworks for the Fourth of July — and it could spell danger.

Jeff Vasher, resource protection manager for the Lower Peninsula, joined Local 4 Live to talk about the risks of wildfires.
