DETROIT, Mich. – The Gordie Howe bridge, named after a Canadian Red Wings player, is set to open on July 27.
Organizers chose to name the bridge after Gordie Howe, known as Mr. Hockey, for interconnections he had between both Canada and Detroit throughout his career.
