MSU researcher uses this unlikely tool to help others understand rural community issues

EAST LANSING, Mich. – A Michigan State University researcher is using an unlikely tool to help others understand rural community issues.

In a board game, players decide how to divide up resources like funding, staff and bandwidth to improve internet access and digital literacy in their community.

The game “Connected Community” was created in a partnership with two Michigan State University professors.

Jean Hardy, Michigan State University, College of Communication Arts & Sciences Associate Professor joined Local 4 Live to tell us about some rural challenges many don’t realize communities have.
