Timeline: Most likely window for strong storms Monday in Southeast Michigan
Possible severe thunderstorms are expected to move across Southeast Michigan on Monday, prompting a 4Warn Weather Alert. While the forecast continues to evolve, confidence is increasing that portions of the area could see strong to severe storms Monday afternoon and evening.
One of the biggest forecast challenges is the potential for clusters of showers and thunderstorms during the first half of the day. Those storms could influence the timing and intensity of additional storms later on Monday afternoon and tonight, creating some uncertainty in the overall severe weather threat.

Former nurse Jayne Griffor traded her hospital scrubs for a hard hat after working nearly 20 years caring for patients. She found her new purpose as a labor foreman on one of North America’s largest construction projects -- the Gordie Howe International Bridge.
“I loved being a nurse. Still love being a nurse,” Griffor said, “but I was getting tired of getting burnt out.”
Her move to construction wasn’t just about career fatigue -- it was deeply personal.
