WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – Karen Cooney, an 83-year-old resident of Waltonwood Cherry Hill, has been on cruises and gone ziplining; there is one thing she has always wanted to do again: Get back on a horse.
She fulfilled her wish to ride a horse again through the “Adventure by Waltonwood” program.
The initiative helps seniors achieve lifelong dreams, and Karen’s horseback riding experience took place at Willowtree Stables in Romulus.
