DETROIT – A Detroit woman has died after being struck by a car on Davison Freeway on Wednesday.
Michigan State Police said a woman ran into the freeway on eastbound M-8 (Davison Freeway) near Oakland Avenue just after 12 a.m. on July 29 and was struck by a passing car. She died at the scene.
Police are still working to determine why the woman ran into the freeway.
Davison Freeway was closed for several hours but has since reopened to traffic.
The investigation is ongoing.
