MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – A 61-year-old Macomb County woman saw more than stars and stripes this past Fourth of July after winning $326,482 playing the Michigan Lottery’s Michigan Jackpot online instant game.
“I was sitting around bored on the Fourth of July, so I logged into my lottery account to play the Michigan Jackpot game for a while,” said the player who chose to remain anonymous.
“When a message came up on the screen saying, ‘You won $326,482′ I started screaming! My husband ran into the room in a panic thinking there was an emergency until I finally got the words out to tell him I’d won the lottery."
The player recently visited the Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize.
“Winning this prize means my husband and I can relax and breathe easier. It’s an amazing feeling!”
With her winnings, she plans to complete home improvements, pay off debt, and share with family.
