PONTIAC, Mich. – A Pontiac man is facing charges after allegedly shooting and killing a Waterford Township man during a block party on Saturday.
Marquan DeAngelo Henderson, 23, was charged with second-degree murder and felony firearm.

The shooting happened on July 25 at a block party on Mariva Street near Paddock Street and Auburn Avenue. Authorities said the party had around 100 attendees.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office said when deputies responded, they found Antwon Deshaun Herring, 23, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his head. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the sheriff’s office, Henderson turned himself in.
Henderson was arraigned in court on July 29 and denied bond. He is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 11 for a probable cause conference.
If convicted, Henderson faces up to life in prison.
