Downtown Royal Oak’s signature Arts, Beats & Eats festival is drawing record crowds in its 15-plus year run, with organizers reporting a 20% increase in attendance this year.

Soaring Eagle Arts, Beats & Eats presented by Flagstar Bank will be returning to Royal Oak this September over Labor Day weekend.

City officials have rejected a proposal seeking to allow marijuana at the annual Arts, Beats & Eats festival in Downtown Royal Oak.

According to event organizers, $389,133.35 was raised during the Labor Day weekend event through admission fees, beverage proceeds, festival-sponsored community initiatives and more.
