OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – An Auburn Hills man who’s been charged with criminal sexual conduct three times has pleaded no contest to his most recent charges stemming from an incident at a Michael’s store in Troy.
Ian Matthew Johnson, 21, was charged with fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct on April 30 after a female shopper reported that Johnson was following her through the store and asking her strange questions.

When officers placed him under arrest inside the store, another woman alleged to police that Johnson also approached her in the store to tell her there was a spider on her before rubbing her buttocks to remove it.
At the time of his arrest, Johnson was already on probation for criminal sexual conduct, according to prosecutors.
In previous incidents, police said he sprayed lotion on a woman’s back at a gas station in Troy because he found her attractive. And two weeks before that, he groped a woman on the Clinton River Trail in Auburn Hills.
Johnson pleaded no contest to the sexual conduct charge and pleaded guilty to being a habitual offender. He is scheduled to be sentenced at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 18.
