A Michigan ski resort was voted the No. 1 ski resort in North America in the USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Mount Bohemia in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula earned the title in the 2023 Readers’ Choice contest.

The resort is located near Lac La Belle in Mohawk. The average snowfall in the Keweenaw Peninsula is 273 inches.

The resort gets lake effect snow that is dry, similar to western resorts, and accumulates as powder. The resort said it has the longest runs with the highest vertical and deepest powder in the Midwest.
