Oakland County Commissioner Bill Dwyer becomes new Warren police commissioner

WARREN, Mich. – Oakland County Commissioner Bill Dwyer replaced Warren Police Commissioner Jere Green on Thursday, sources said.

According to sources, Green was notified by the local union president that he was fired before the end of his work day. He was escorted out of the building.

Dwyer is a former Detroit narcotics lieutenant, Farmington Hills police chief and Warren police commissioner.

He will stay on the  Oakland County Commission for the remainder of his term.
