$1 billion school bond passes; Blood Battle at the Big House; U-M researchers hack Alexa with lasers

Happy Friday!

It's hard to believe that we got the first snow of the season Wednesday night. It feels like fall was just in full swing, then we blinked and it's gone. Let's enjoy those last fall colors while they last.

The big story this week was the passing of the $1 billion Ann Arbor Public Schools bond to repair existing school infrastructure, build two new schools and more. Although the proposal passed, the vote was close, with many opposing what became one of the largest-ever bond proposals in the state from a school district.

Have a great weekend.

Feature interview of the week:

"This concept definitely works because we are in Ann Arbor ... Ann Arbor has so many people that come in from out of town. But also the locals have been very supportive of this shop from the very beginning."
