Celebration of Life arrangements made for Pistons legend Earl ‘The Twirl’ Cureton

DETROIT – The Celebration of Life arrangements have been made for former Detroit Pistons player and community ambassador Earl Cureton.

The ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at St. Cecilia’s Church, located at 10400 Stoepel Street in Detroit.
Cureton, a Finney High School Graduate and University of Detroit standout, died unexpectedly Sunday, Feb. 4. He was 66 years old. The cause of his death has not been made public.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Cureton’s memory are asked to make a donation toward the restoration of the Ceciliaville Gym , where he spent much of his childhood.
