The move comes as Arnold faces eight pending felony charges stemming from an alleged armed robbery and kidnapping in Florida.

It is reported that the NFL will now determine whether Arnold will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list.

Arnold, 23, was released by the Lions on June 29, one day after the team announced his release following his arrest in Tampa.

The former first-round pick was arrested June 24 on a warrant and booked into the Hillsborough County jail.

He was released June 30 after posting a $1 million surety bond, according to jail records.

The charges stem from an alleged Feb. 4 incident investigated by the Tampa Police Department.

Arnold faces four counts of robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon involving property valued at less than $750 and four counts of kidnapping with intent to harm or terrorize, according to court records.

A judge set bond at $100,000 for each robbery charge and $150,000 for each kidnapping charge, bringing the total to $1 million.

The case is pending in Hillsborough County Circuit Court under case number 26-CF-010977-A.

Investigators have not publicly released additional details about the allegations, and Tampa police have not announced whether other suspects have been arrested.

Arnold’s workout with the Seahawks was featured on the second episode of HBO’s Hard Knocks.

Seahawks general manager John Schneider was shown discussing the possibility of bringing Arnold to Seattle.

Detroit selected Arnold with the 24th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Alabama.

He appeared in 22 games with 18 starts for the Lions over two seasons.

The Seahawks’ addition of Arnold allows him to continue his NFL career while his criminal case remains unresolved.
