DETROIT – This season didn’t go how anyone in the Detroit Tigers organization was hoping, but fans got some good news ahead of the final series.
On Thursday, the Tigers revealed that TV play-by-play broadcaster Jason Benetti and radio voice Dan Dickerson have both agreed to multi-year contract extensions.

That means the duo will remain the voices of Tigers baseball into the future.
“We’re incredibly proud to have Jason and Dan as the voices of Tigers baseball, and grateful for their eagerness to make an even deeper commitment to our organization,” said Ryan Gustafson, president and CEO of Ilitch Sports + Entertainment.
Benetti is wrapping up his third season as the Tigers’ TV voice, and he’s widely considered one of the best and most relatable announcers in sports.
Dickerson has been with the Tigers since 2000 and is also regarded as one of the best broadcasters in the sport. He’s the primary play-by-play voice on radio, but also fills in regularly on TV when Benetti has national obligations.
